I don't know about you guys, but this is the most exciting thing I've seen from Ovation in years. It's been somewhere (I think) around 25 years since it was a regularly produced model. I suspect we'll be learning more today or tomorrow from the NAMM show in California. The new Ovations now have, would you believe? "SIDEPORTS", like G!@#$%, so there not even called "soundholes", anymore! I say," MEH", and, as my fellow Canadian once sang, "THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH!" ( Shania Twain)."Just sayin' my say."( Burt Lancaster in Ulzanna's Raid) That's 2 quotes for the price of one today. I just worry how many times you can change ownership and move factories before the DNA gets diluted to the point that it no longer matches the history of the name. But maybe that's just the way of the world these days ... You know, Ovation fans can bash Martin all they want but there is something comforting in the fact that Martin has been family owned and (the US models) built in the same town for 190 years.

I will be at the winter 2024 Namm Show and I will have to see for myself at the Ovation both if they are there. If there is anything that will spark my interest. Thank goodness I have my Ovations from the 70's, that I truly love. I was lucky enough to get the prototype of the Glen Campbell Ovation that was made years ago when DW had the brand at the Namm Show.
