| Hey all - first post so here it goes. I have an Ovation with an OP-24+ pickup. We all know how these pickups sound - they are hot with the 9-volt which is good but not great and need some help. I want to go the extra mile and not just mess with the onboard EQ and run it straight into an amp/PA.
Instead, I am looking at leaving the onboard EQ flat and then running it into, for example a:
LR Baggs Para DI Acoustic
Fishman Aura Spectrum
Rupert Neve Designs RNDI
Grace Designs BiX or ALiX
Then, line that into a house PA or mostly my own Electro-Voice system to do any last minor adjustments there.
Anyone have any real word experience A/Bing on the subject? What’s my best option for taming this beast? Thanks for your help! |
