Selling `The Blonde`, reluctantly but it must go. It is number 380 in the 2007 Collector series.

I bought her on this the forum, around ten years ago. Kept it in a non-smoking, non-pet, dust-free environment. Seen only rare gigs, mainly used in the studio. It has the lightest of dings on the top of the headstock, difficult to photograph, and could use a fret dress some time in the future. Otherwise, an amazing sound, brilliant playability, impeccable condition. Same about the deluxe case it's coming with - complete with key and, fun fact, leather handle, as opposed to the new ones with plastic.

Aficionados will know all about the 2007 Collector's, I personally think it's one of the most beautiful and best instruments to leave the Mothership. Still, here are some specs, for the record:

- AAA Bearclaw spruce (photos do not do it justice) with single inlaid koa epaulet
- LX scalloped bracing
- VIP-5 preamp with jack and XLR outputs, OCP-1 pickup
- deep contour body
- 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, 2-way truss rod
- fingerboard: inlaid flamed maple, special 12th Fret Inlay
- Graphtech nut, 1-11/16", ebony bridge

Only for forum members, price is EUR 1000 / $ 1100 + shipping, after which it will go on the Bay and other places with a higher price. Detailed images at this Google Photos link

I would only exchange (in which case I would add, besides cash, an Ovation Sweet T) with a 2008 Collectors, 2087GT or 40th Anniversary. Yes I know these are a different ballpark, but maybe someone needs the money...

Yes, one of the very best to come out of the Mothership! I regret selling mine years ago, and would consider acquiring another even though I am overly blessed with great guitars already. At the time I needed to thin the herd to raise some funds, and the 2007BCS was redundant to the Adamas 2080 I already had.

For those unsure, yes the 2007BCS is that good.

I played a 2007BCS next to my 87C once. X braced vs. A braced. Contour vs. Deep bowl. Both outstanding and both very very similar.......

Wow, have never tried the '87 Collector's - but I hear ya with X vs A-braced, the differences CAN be very subtle with O's, especially epauleted ones. Personally I'd never go back to anything else than the contour bowl, prolly one of the best inventions to come out of Hartford )... Again, I wouldn't sell my '07 (a year ago I would have heartily laughed at the proposition), but like so many of us, I have to...

And again, I would so much want one of the `family` to have it. I have learned and read so, so much on this forum over the past 15 years...

Right you are !... When I got my 07 I was actually desperately trying to get a 2080 or, alas, a 2008 C (in fact I've just missed one a couple of weeks ago, was willing to sell my car for it and am still having physical aches for not getting one)... for the first I didn't have the money, for the latter I too much enjoyed having both kidneys and not considering selling either )... But The Blonde exquisitely played her part on many, many recordings and turned many, many heads in the studio and on rare occasions on stage.

Here's another photo, which in my view is pure sexiness, one of the most beautiful AAAs I've ever seen, not to mention the Koa epaulet...

I'd be interested to know who the PO was. I'm not a buyer (as I already have one), just curious.

I'm a big fan of the contour deep bowl, as well as the LX neck. Both features make it more comfortable for me to play. So much so, I kept my '07 BCS and moved my 1537.

GLWTS!

These ARE excellent instruments. I miss the one I had too. Had to sell to raise money for another guitar. The sound and appearance of this model are amazing for such a low price that they sell for. If I were still buying instruments, this would rate very high on my wish list.

So am I, actually. I know distinctly it was from the OFC but simply do not remember who...
