I've never actually busked (buskED?) but here's an article listing a few amps that I have played around with. Note that three of his Top 5 are Roland's which gives OMA's recommendation some credence. In my (much less than professional) opinion they're convenient, easy to move around with and good enough for the street or backyard messing around but keep that in perspective. They're not meant to be as powerful or full as some small acoustic plug in amps. Right tool for the right job, right? Hope it helps!

I own two Roland CubeStreet amps. They are louder with effects, and you can sit on them... yada yada.
But I watched a video of a guy who was using a Blackstar Fly, tiny little amp.

He said, "You can have a Big Amp and people can hear you for blocks,
or you can have a little amp and people will come closer to hear you."

That is when I switched to the Mobile AC.

I've used a little Yamaha THR5 for two lakeside outdoor weddings (small, no more than 40 folks each time). Only 5 watts but did a nice job (with a Legend 1863). About 200 bucks. Might want to try it out.

Hello, Everyone,
My friend, and mentor, Bruce, uses the Roland Mobile AC for everything, i.e.,busking, recording videos on YT, The Jericho Road Coffeehouse,(here in Ottawa, back in the day, when these particular units first came out), our jam sessons, whatever. It's a great piece of equipment for sure. I myself, however, do not have a small acoustic guitatr amp. I borrowed and/or used my nephew's Orange Crush Acoustic 30? for my niece's/his cousins's wedding, back in 2011. LOUD, EH?

I have a Roland AC 33 which has been great for small rooms. I haven't tried an auditorium yet.
