Hi Ovation lovers, I dreamed for many years of playing on MY Ovation and finally got one which really turns me on by its so clear and deep sonority, both in picking and in jazzy tunes.
Could somebody here tell me when my Applause EA 44-5 stopped being made as I bought it from a lady who had no idea of the purchase year, thanks in advance for your help and knowledge

Applause AE44-5 were still being made last year. By DW (Drum Workshop).
GEWA in Germany just bought Ovation (and Adamas and Applause) from DW.
GEWA buys Ovation

As to the age of Your guitar.... Compare Headstock Design and Labels.
That might give you a clue as to how old yours is.
I hope that this is helpful.
