| Hi All - Thank you for the add to the group! I have been playing guitar and bass for 30 years but this is my first Ovation.
I just acquired a Korean made - Ovation Ultra - Model 1528 Serial # 208379
It hasn't been used in a while so I decided to replace the strings and battery and clean it up and do a setup.
Couple of questions -
1. Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture - based on somethings I've read, it may be 1987 - 1991
2. When I replaced the batter and plugged in the amp, I did not see the little light near the volume knob turn on. Is it supposed to. I imagined that the preamp is activated by pluging in a cord.
3. I am having a hard time reattaching the battery holder to the guitar using the screw. I've attached a picture, please let me know if it looks right or if there is something wrong. Or is there a trick to getting it to attach.
Thanks for the help - looking forward to getting her up and running so I can dive into Ovation land.
