Hi ALL

Just scored this guitar and thought I would share it with you,  as I have never seen one like this.

The soundhole label clearly says 1624, but the fretboard is not the usual black piece of ebony. A special run or whatever? What are your thoughts?

Nice guitar BTW.

Nice guitar. Of all the nylon string Os I've played I like my 1624 best.

It's got the best balance of tone between wound and plain strings I've heard.

It looks to me like someone had the fretboard inlaid with pattern similar to steel-string Os.

The dots and diamonds are smaller than standard and are spaced further apart.

I agree with Dan, those markers do not look original but they DO look good and overall a really nice guitar.

I didn't notice that the inlays actually look smaller, good point. I thought it was a special Run or a special order or something like that.
Thanks for your comments!

I'd bet it was done by an independent luthier on a stock 1624.
Course, just a WAG.

I didn't buy this guitar, just wanted to share it with you in case it was a 'special' guitar.

Thanks anyway!
