  | When looking at the S/N (Signal to Noise Ratio) in the respective Ovation Preamp manuals I see:  
  
OP-PRO  S/N: 87db  
OP-PRO/Studio S/N: 80db  
  
That's a pretty big difference IMHO.  However I see literature and posts out there claiming the OP-PRO/Studio is quieter than the OP-PRO.  Based on the above numbers that doesn't make sense...

  | I had the OP-Pro in my ADII and liked it.  I just replaced the OP-Pro/Studio in my 1617-ALE which was had a low level hum/noise and defective tuner, and replaced it with an OP-Pro.  The OP-Pro sounds great.  I'm not sure trying to go back to the Studio is worth it. |
