High there from Germany!

As a fresh new member let me introduce me first to the forum: My name is Uli, 64 years old, living near Duesseldorf in the center of Germany and the owner of a "Electric Folklore" 1614 which I bought as new in 1981 (see photo).
During the eighties I lost my enthusiam in playing guitar, and for more than 30 years my 1614 "slept" silently in it's case.
Some months ago I was newly inspired and I restarted playing guitar. When I had a closer look on my Ovation, I noticed that the combinated tone and volume control knobs had some cracks and were beginning to fall apart. I tried to refix it, put the result is not really satisfying (see photos).

For this reason I tried to find the adequate replacement parts, unfortunately without any result here in Germany.
Therefore I would like to ask the members of the OVATION FAN CLUB if somebody could help me!?
Due to my knowledge the original ovation part numbers are as follows:
Volume control knob- 940071-X-00, Tone control knob- 940070-X-00.

I would be very pleased about a positive response!!
Stay tuned!
Best regards
Uli

Hi there,

in the meantime I received a personal mail by 'gobi 34' giving me a very interesting advice:

Hi Ulrich
You can buy replacement knobs from Thomann.de
https://www.thomann.de/de/ovation_ersatzteile_fuer_instrumente.html?...
Best wishes
Fred

So my problem seems to be solved, I just ordered the two needed knobs from Thomann, a huge german musical gear company.

Best wishes to all of you!
Ulrich
