Anyone in the Northeast interested in a K-6002 Preamp with a powered K6100 (2) 12" speaker cabinet with a single horn. Powered speaker cabinet has reconed Altec/Lancing high end speakers and new 60W horn driver. The K-6002 preamp needs work, has a hum and the G-tuner doesn't work. The powered speaker cabinet works fine. It was a fun project getting this going. I got it several years ago and It was a fun project. I owned a similar amp like this back in the 70's with the (4) 12's and dual horns. Great amps at the time. Downsizing and it has to go. Asking $150 for it well below what I spent getting it together. I'll try to attach a photo. I'm in lower New Hampshire on the border of Mass.

I'll send a picture once I size it down to less than 100KB.

here it is. Based upon the research i did at the time I replaced these speakers, the best I could find was they were some kind of Altec/Lansing creation. Maybe you have better info but these were not the base speakers used in other models or options. Correct me if I'm wrong. These are well made with heavy frames, etc.

Yes University and Lansing had merged. Here's one piece i found that supports that although the merger of the two ended up in the hands of another company. "The University Loudspeaker Company was formed in New York in 1936 and was going by University Sound in 1959 when it, along with Altec Lansing, were acquired by Ling Electronics (LTV). In 1963 University moved to Oklahoma where in 1983 it was joined by the Altec Lansing production when Altec closed their Anaheim plant." FYI

If I don't get any interest on this as a whole unit , I may part it out. Speakers, Horns, Amplifier, Head, etc
