but never realised, that they were made in Korea. I had in mind a Celebrity model in blue or red-burst that was app. 1000€ a few years ago.....
So the signature model is twice that and my thinking was (till yesterday) they are made in USA. I'm a bit disapointed, but the finish is great and I expected the sound very flat. The 6-strings have more low end than a regular SSB and the 12-strings sounds exactly like Richie is playing "Dead or Alive".

The necks are quite heavy and you need to have pretty long arms.... LOL. I can only play it when sitting down. I was looking for one for a long time but not the Celebrity and this is looking like a Custom-Elite.. So I think it will have a new home for some time...
The 5858 OWE sounds quite similar, the typical Ovation 12-string SSB sound, maybe the doubleneck has a bit more low end, too. I'll check it out when changing the strings on both and put on the same on both guitars at the same time.

It's big, heavy and not well balanced. But it's fun to play it, because you have two guitars in one.... That is the reason why I'll keep it...
If you are in Germany, let me know and try it out, you are welcome every time.... you know that!!!
