Location: Indiana | My guess would be that they are pretty much the same. As far as I know, the 1613 never went to SMC bowl or Kbar neck... which were near for the other models in 81.
I doubt you'd see much difference. |

Construction-wise, they're identical, as Paul and Jm wrote. So, they probably would sound the same.
As Paul points out, the electronics were different.
The 1973 1613 had the Volume-only pre-amp.
The 1981 1613 had the Volume and Tone Control pre-amp. |
