Does anyone know if it’s possible to have an Adamas l neck removed and an Adamas ll neck put in its place? ... if so or not, how difficult would it be? (Speaking of the mothership, not me doing it)

Just unbolt and revolt. The angles might need to be tweaked, up or down, side to side or for intonation

Excellent! Thanks. I’ve always wanted a 2087GT or equivalent, but couldn’t afford one when when they came up for sale. So I’m considering trying to get my 1581-8 modified to transform it into one.

You can swap necks to the Adamas I but the body will still be from a 1581 so I don't know how this will benefit you,The Adamas 2087GT had a hand laid contour bowl I believe so any tone difference between a 1581 and 2087 would have more to do with the body than the neck IMHO.

Now if you have an Adamas I neck laying around and you prefer the Broccoli headstock go for it

In my original question I got things backward. I’m wanting to make my 1581 Adamas II a 1581 Adamas I. ‘looks like the most difficult thing would be switching the bridge/saddles, due to the size differences and the glue.

Should be a nice guitar after the modification. Good luck.
