Bone Saddle

Location: Australia		So have an ovation 12 string in for repair, the pickup no longer works and the manufacturer appears to have discontinued this model of element/saddle combination. (5mm wide saddle)

So new bone saddle made and fitted, the preamp is working, pickup is not, curious if others have fitted another style of element under the saddle and connected it to the original preamp

I have, on a couple of occasions. Both were different styles, but both work just fine.

One on Patch's Parlor. It's under a bone saddle in a classical style bridge.

The other is under a TUSQ XL in my Frankenvation. (1778T)

Keep in mind both were thinline saddles. If you're talking about the wide saddle (OCP-1K) then I have not found a replacement.

That is the info i am looking for, yes this is a wide saddle bit i can slot the base to accept an element, will organise to get one of those thinline models and bench test it with the system.
