| Just today I got an Ovation Celebrity CK 057 with an OP 30 preamp module from an Ebay seller (with 99.5% positives)
So I pulled it out of the case, strummed it a little, saw the loose battery included in the case ... tested it on my tongue, figured out how to install it ... and plugged in the guitar. Got an LED to momentarily turn on when I inserted the cord to the amp into the guitar ... but no output.
The sliders for treble and mid 2 do not slide much if at all. I replaced the battery with a new fresh battery ... no LED lit up ... no output.
I tried the built-in tuner... it seemed to think that every string was a B ... tried my pedal board tuner and the same thing ... it wanted to read B ... but still no sound from my amp speakers.
Where to start? What to do? Send it back to the seller? Get a replacement preamp? Send it to Ovation for repair?
Thanks!

What to do with your guitar?
It would depend the condition of the Guitar itself.
If you LIKE the guitar, you can get another Preamp.
Or... you could return the guitar.

| Thanks Alpep ... how much does a new OP-30 preamp cost? And it's just a drop in replacement? I checked your web site, but didn't see them.
