So first yes I joined to ask a question
I am luthier by trade and I also repair ovations under warranty, however getting information from the manufacturer through their distributor can be impossible at the best of times here in Australia.
Doing a google search on Ovation bracing designs linked me to some people on this forum with some pretty serious repairs being done, so have joined to see if I can pick their brains for some information to fix one of my customers instruments
I am more than happy to answer any questions should anyone have some for me, i have rebuilt and replaced Ovation tops, repaired cracked bowls, made new freboards and inlays etc specifically fo ovations.
So here is my first question,
This ovation 12 string came in for buckled top, cracked fretboard, non functional truss rod.
I have traced out the internal braces and want to know if someone has an ovation 12 string simoiar that can identify the manufacturers missing braces.
Thanks
