I might need to take out a small loan for this one.

1930 Martin

Of course, if any of you REALLY want it, I promise not to outbid you. ;)

Sort of makes the ef75s even cooler.

and i am sure i would sound like a million bucks.

Here is a slightly better deal on a martin HD28vs (and with the left over cash, you could buy my condor)

I sure wish it had a "buy it now" so I wouldn't have to bid and wait till the end...
Maybe I'll just load a snipe on it and wait. :D

That should fetch anything between $2 to $5K, depening on condition, lack of any structural issues and how badly someone wants it. But you absolutely must get rid of those non-original god-awful keystone tuners. Get some Waverleys with small ivoroid knobs, which will look identical to what should be on there, and work a lot better. They're expensive but the guitar is worth it

I played one of these a couple of months ago and it was one sweet guitar. Was in that store again this morning and was not surprised to see it had sold. They have a D42 in now that I tried and it was very nice also. That 12 fret was just a little nicer tone wise, to my ear.

As for that 1930 Martin, I too am glad I've got the EF75, so don't really "need" another OM. :)

I guess if I were Bill Gates the price of a guitar wouldn't mean a thing to me. Aside from the fact that there were only about a dozen made and the collector value is astronomical, I wouldn't spend over $500 dollars for it.

Hmmm ... let me see now ...

Excellent original condition
Brazilian Rosewood back and sides
Adirondack Spruce top
Ivoroid binding
Ebony fretboard

Besides the Rosewood back and sides, sounds like a very nice custom legend to me. Sorry, I guess you've already guessed I'm not a big Martin fan.

absolutely nothing to do with anything....but.

My 80 year old neighbor in Ct., talked to me one time after I took some pics of my guitars in the back yard. She said they looked 'nice' and mentioned she played.

WHAT??? Oh yes, not so much anymore, but her father gave her a guitar when she was a little girl and she has played it all her life, but unfortunately none of her kids are into guitar (um, they would be in their 50's).
I thought I might ask her to check it out one day, but soon after she went into a nursing home and then i moved to Colorado again. Since her family had money, I always wonder what the guitar was. She might not know she had something worth a pretty penny or she might just have an old beatup no name guitar. where is that shadow guy when you need him?

That's way too much for a guitar, regardless of what it is.

That's a damn museum piece, not a guitar. Pass.
