There's a nice little soundhole tuner, but it won't fit all Ovations (my test from another site)

Koenig Kurt:
Got it. Nicely built, but not built too expensive. A battery cover would have only raised the price, I think. But the battery is included at least

Most important: Is it accurate? Yes, it is. Checked it with my StrobePlus and, for 12-fret-Dread-John, with my fork. Showed exactly what the StrobePlus showed.

The little bar indicators work very accurate, only when they show up on both sides of the note it’s in tune. Sweetened tunings can be done with this knowing as well, but this is up to you and depends on your accuracy.

 In tune:

 Just a tiny bit flat:

A bit more flat:

You get the picture:

Second: This device is meant to be left permanently on your guitar. You can do so, it’s hardly seen.

But I hate stuff that’s permanently mounted to my guitars, won’t leave it on my guitar, so: Is it handy?

Not half as much as one would think. Guys with large soundholes are winners here. Since you can install it easily with one hand…

…it’s no fun to put it off with one hand. Guys with CW soundholes are winners again – it took me one minute to get it out of my guitar’s body. Better you grab it from the other side.

But maybe you are more skillful than I am.

That’s my first impression. It is accurate, not as handy as I thought (but not a problem to handle either), nicely built and with a lot less parts that could break than the Peterson clip has, for example.

Special service for you countless Ovation weirdos out there:

It WON’T fit your regular Elite with non-inlaid epis!

But it will fit every textured top:

It WON’T fit your non-inlaid rosettes as well:

but will fit the inlaid ones.

 Best regards,

 Kurt
