Allo friends!

I want to buy a Breadwinner pickguard (to fit a mini humbucker & nylon saddle era) and battery cover. Prefer original, but repro is fine too. I'm open to any color. My BW is black.

I'd also like to find a battery cover with correct screws. My breadwinner came without one. Taping the batteries in just feels so sad. And I want to get this up to gigging standards.

Otherwise I really lucked out on my find. First Ovation. Guitar and original case in great shape. And the price was wildly good.

I'm new to the forums and Ovations overall, but I'm happy to find a community here. Thanks for having me & I'm happy to answer any questions that would make you feel better about doing business with a newbie.

Hmm... Is the neck plate embossed (fancy) or etched (somewhat plain) ? Or just a pic of the back would do.

First off, great find. However, interesting. The serial number and the bridge signify an early run, but... it has pickups that weren't introduced until a few years later. I'm almost wondering if later pickups and pickguard were put on an older breadwinner along with a newer neck plate, or... and much easier but not often seen, an older bridge put on a newer Breadwinner. By newer, I'm only talking about a couple of years. Nothing major. I just don't think I've ever seen that bridge with those pickups, but my brain could be failing. You should start another thread in the "General" forum section. Others might chime in, but this is one nice find no matter. Also, if you're not familar, just because it may not be a "standard" configuration that we are used to seeing, doesn't mean it isn't orginal. It could have been a guitar assembled as they were switching as example to the new style pickups... maybe they just put the nylon saddle bridge on cause they had a bunch left.
