Location: Moscow, Russia | Hi! Seeking for Ovation-compatible (USA model) nuts for truss rod adjustment (original is 3/16”, looks made of brass, located inside the bowl). Please point me out to eBay/reverb listing, there are lot of Fender nuts, but Im in doubt. Fender part number will be also helpful. Thanks in advance for your support! Best regards, Alex |

Down inside the guitar?
So you are looking for a new, replacement, part?
Correct?

Location: Moscow, Russia | Yes, you got my point! Internal facets (3/16") got worn and finally torn off ;-( It was a great adventure to unscrew it (done), and now I looking for new brass nuts (better - 2-3 pcs for spares), origilal Ovation or compatible (Fender ?)... Maybe someone suggest the thread gauge of Ovation truss rod end ? Supposedlly, 1/8" ? Best regards, Alex |

Stewmac sells a TR nut for a Fuckner that may work. It's got 10-32 threads. See: Bullet Truss Rod Nut for Fuckner Cost is $4.50 You might be able to use a Stewmac Gripper TR Wrench, too. |

You can obtain a pitch gauge for this or you can do as he says and match it up at your local hardware store. Most of them have thread guides to help you. He was referring to a rod with a diameter of 10 and a pitch of 32 (32 threads to the inch). If it is metric you need the corresponding diameter and pitch in millimeters. Again there are pitch gauges and guides to assist you in this. It is actually quite easy to ascertain exactly what you are seeking. |
