Kind of like dots or diamonds for standard or custom on the old Balladeers.. and diamonds or snowflakes on the Legends. When I played heavy metal, back in the day, I wiould boil mine in vinegar for at least 15 minutes, on the kitchen stove. My dear late Mom kept wondering, "Where did all my vinegar go?!" Oops. Mike S.
