| First off, thanks to all for your positive comments about the clip I posted yesterday. You inspired me to record and post another one. This is also a cover of EC from Unplugged (are we detecting a pattern here? ;) ), the opening number to that CD, called Signe. I'd wanted to learn it since I first heard it, and finally decided to give it a shot about 3 months ago. I'm kinda proud about how it turned out
Anyway, here\'s the link to my recording. Same technical details as the last one (1617 Legend jacked thru M-Audio to laptop, Reaper mixer with Kjaerhus Audio Classic EQ). |

Great stuff. |

| Jim - no worries. I only picked up the guitar again about a year and a half ago after a looong hiatus. Haven't had the chance to (re)learn a lot of songs. You guys are gonna blow me outta the water. I'll be the guy in the back strumming the easy chords and hoping no one catches my flubs. |

Location: Flushing, MI | That sounded great! It has the obvious direct piezo sound, but it's a good one (if you're not offended by that sort of thing). I'd really like to hear you combine that sound with a nice condensor mic (or even just a regular ol' SM57). I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
My only criticism is that either you're slightly out of tune, or you have intonation problems, OR perhaps you were just fretting heavily on certain chord shapes. It wasn't enough to hamper my enjoyment of listening to your wonderful rendition of this piece though! GREAT job!
I've never heard Clapton's version, so I'm not sure how it went originally, but I sure enjoyed YOUR version of it! |

A little of both, LOL. Some of those chord shapes are a real stretch  !
EC's Unplugged CD is a classic; if you like acoustic blues you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. I'd always been a fan of his electric stuff, but gained a whole new respect for him when he released this. |
