Every time I go to NAMM, I end up buying one or two new gotta-have amps. All the really creative stuff is in the basement. Don’t miss it.

The gear is fun, seeing and chatting with friends new and old matters even more.

yes, it is all about friends but there are too many REALLY strange people in LA anymore. If I ever see another NAMM it will be too soon

I concur about seeing friends, like Al and Matt Smith who was working the Supro booth the last time I went. That was one of the amps I was referring to. And he was right; it is a superb small venue gigging amp (clubs and street festivals). I also miss Moody’s parties. That was where you could really see all the OFC folks.

And sometimes you saw more than you really wanted to...

I concur with all of you...ergo lets find a way for old friends to get together soon...if it is LA - so be it. If not - maybe another place, just hope it isn't too long.

Glad to hear everyone upbeat and not sobbing that there will not be any "real" Ovations anymore at NAMM.

If you do go to NAMM, be sure to hook up with Al. He knows how to chase down all the good swag.

Hello, Everyone,
I got invited to go to NAMM when it was held in TORONTO, CANADA in the early 1980's. I didn't go, either. People in TORONTO don't think LA exists.
