With all of the tupperware jokes going around, and cereal bowls, and this bowl and that bowl....

I was wondering if this Lyrachord material is microwave safe?

Anyone know?

I've got a 1639 bowl I'd like to do "something" with, but that's a LOT of salad.

And nobody would notice it on my front lawn full of flowers. Leastwise not beside the '48 Ford truck nose I converted into a flower bed.

Maybe cut a hole in the edge and G.I. Joe and Barbie could pretend it's a big black igloo.

God, I need coffee.

Is it US Lyrachord, or the superior Chilean variety?

Scott, if you could make yours into a serving bowl, it would be a hit at OFC gatherings.

I'd volunteer my CS257 Celebrity, but it's currently functional again (as opposed to the other day).

Need to re-heat an extra big portion of leftover nachos!

Edited to add:

That brings up another question. Is the microwavability of the US made bowls different than that of the Korean made bowl?

I will venture a guess that if you microwaved cured lyrachord resin it would either get soft and melt, or get brittle and crack...

(or is 'lyra-chord' something they pay to play in Italy?... )
