Folks - I put this up over on FB. Many of you have asked about the sound of the newer ovations - I have said stellar. Here is a sample. The guitar sound is all an FD 14 AV50, the mandolin is a no-namer. It was recorded in my basement studio. I provided all the instruments and the space. All stringed instruments were recorded with a mic, (nothing direct) one that sells for less than a hundred bucks. The vocals were recorded on a less than 200 bucks USB mic.
Point being - keep making music - and Ovation is a great choice.

That sounds great to my ears. Thanks for posting that and reminding us that it doesn't take thousands of $$ to record something that sounds PDG.
