Technically, this has nothing to do with strings but I just installed a couple of the Hardwood home and studio hangers from StringSwing.com. They are excellent, well made and easy to install. They come with everything needed to install on wood or drywall. They hold my instruments securely and are designed to protect the finish, too.

I used the StringSwings for my acoustics. I had to find the ones with the round metal disk to match the other ones I had. I think they are called amplifier mounts. I used the Hercules to mount the electrics at an angle.

I've got 6 StringSwings down in The Pump Room (my music room is next to the sump pump). Very well made.

Another nice feature about he StringSwing hanger is it can be removed from the wood backing leaving a threaded stud that can then be used for different mounting applications, like an L brace off the ceiling, or a metal shelf system, etc. i’ve had to reengineer numerous hangers over the years in my band room. Earlier this year at NAMM, I found a model that hangs on a closet rod. Had to get it.
