| I've had my Ovation Legend now for 30 years, I guess it's about time that I found and joined this Club.
What brought me here is the possibility that I need to replace the saddle on my guitar.
When I tune the high E string it often registers as "A" and then back to E. Also, if I mute strings 2 through 6, and then tune the high E it always registers as "E". This doesn't happen with any other string. Also the B string will at time give off a "sitar-like" sound.
I have two chromatic tuners and it happens with both.
I had the guitar setup recently and he checked the neck and also replaced one worn fret. Still I figure there's a minor problem here and I'm thinking a new saddle might help.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Glad to be here.

I have a bunch of Non-O guitars that will sometimes give a weird sound on the "B" string.
Did your guitar do this before you replaced that fret.
As to Saddle replacement... Is your guitar Acoustic, or Acoustic/Electric?
Which model and which year?
If it is Acoustic, replacing the saddle is simple.
If it is Acoustic/Electric it gets more complicated.
