Gibson makes something like this.
Since I don't record directly to the computer, the usb doesn't make sense to me either, but the kids do so much with computers these days ...

I actually like the headphone out jack. My electric papoose has one (as well as a distortion switch) and I can bring it over to a party and just plug it in to a stereo or a computer speaker and I'm good to go. There may be a way of plugging it into a computer's line in, but I since I've never done it ...

Plus, it's good for when you're on the road staying at a hotel.
