| hello, longtime ovation user new member.
i was wondering about the newer ovation necks.
all my other ovations are older and i've had no problems adj. action by the shims and truss rod.
i recently picked up a 2005 lx and i have heard that the newer style bolt on necks
can be removed so you could do some adjustments to the string height kind of how taylor guitars adjust.
the guitar plays good as is now, there is still a couple shims under the saddle.
i'm just wondering for my own knowledge, not really finding info by googling around as yet.
hoping to find some info here
anyway, hi how ya doin ?

Location: NJ | starting with the k bar necks they have been removeable
but you will need to loosen up the fingerboard that goes over the body
why would you want to take off the neck if the guitar is playing well?
