I saw a small advertisement where someone sold an Ovation 2001 Collector´s guitar and mentioned that he had a couple of Ov.C. to sell. I sent an E-mail to him and asked (casually) if he had an ´87 , too. Sure, he replied, and If I wanted to have a deep or shallow...I gulped and stuttered something about a deep bowl and he told me a very reasonable price.... (I thought I might have bought another "construction area", but I would have taken this guitar in any ! shape.) 3 days later I opened the packet and what I saw was a dusty, but obviously UNPLAYED ´87 Collector´s Ovation. The strings appeared to be the factory strings and I detected that the printed date on the battery was 04/87. It is not good for a guitar if it lays untouched and in tune in the case for years. The neck may need a reset, but that´s only a small problem, I will decide that later. I will let the guitar get accustomed to the lighter strings and will see. Little cleaning, tune up, and...WOOOW. The guitar feels and sounds completely different to all of my Ovations, now I understand why this one is sought after by so many. Unbelievable!
A good day for an Ovation player.

And the seller within reach.... somehow just around the corner..... good for my wallet that you found it and not me.... Congrats! Let us have a glance at O's holy grail, please. Unless you pay them $$. Congrats on the score! ...but I payed $$, it´s not a free account. (Unfortunately I´m not allowed to use swear-words on U.S. internet accounts, but I must say I would really love to use some here) I really don´t know what I did wrong this time. When I created the thread I could see the pics clearly. Why can´t anything in the computer world be functionable for at least one year? And if photobucket does not allow something they should at least give me a LITTLE HELP how to work with it, the payment link worked easily:-( I must work so much and I neither have the time nor feel like working on "updates" (downdates??) more than for my money. I tried it with the pics on dropbox before, spent hours to upload all and finally found that all this did not work. I love to take pictures of guitars and I would really like to share but can someone get me little help? | ||
