| I just entered the Glen Campbell giveaway as posted by Mr. Ovation. After doing so, I visited the Ovation Guitars website for the first time:

Is it me or is the website a bit squirrelly? As I move the mouse around, things on the screen jump, twirl, zoom and move all over the place. Navigating the site to find something as simple as a price is a challenge, especially for a first time visitor.
Maybe I'm just old, but I do spend quite a bit of time on the internet and am pretty computer savvy. Ovation's website does not strike me as very well designed.

Location: Canada | Yes it seems to be quite a bit over-animated and under-updated! Red-carpet guitars website/summer NAMM pictures shows quite a few new models that look like they are scaled down 50th Anniversary models at lower price for regular production. This is a great move and I hope we will hear more announcements and details soon, including a website update. However, dare I say that the new headstocks are hideous! |

Location: Utah | This iteration of the Ovation website is a lot better than the one the last owners had! At least now they have an option to buy a guitar from their website.
I am guessing there is a fairly large divide between the young adults (16-28 yrs old approx) and those of us a bit older. I think we tend to shop differently online than they do. And, their younger brains enjoy the razzle-dazzle websites whereas it annoys older eyes. They like to explore to discover what goodies are lurking when they mouse the cursor over various parts of the page, whereas I like to get a clear overview so I can find what I came to see.
With all the new stuff coming out, as well as all the old historical information, a really great Ovation Guitars website would be a pretty big challenge for someone not familiar. I would like to see more up-to-date information on current production offerings, in a clear easy presentation. For those of you familiar with Revzilla for motorcycles, that is one fantastic model of a retail website. Generic marketing spoo on a product's page, with a tab to more specific detailed information. And a video with one of their personalities demonstrating the product or explaining the pros/cons of the product compared to other choices. Imagine a video explaining the difference between an Elite and a Legend, so the newby can make a better informed choice. Or, Matt Smith demonstrating the preamp, or a good discussion about the differences in tone between different woods or Adamas models, or TX vs AX. Give the prospective customer something to watch and listen to, and let him think about which he wants most.
And, a custom shop page where we could pick and choose various options and see what the pricing is.
So far the new owners have improved the website a lot, but I hope they do a lot more (and hire a knowledgeable Ovation player not some college age computer geek to develop it). |

Location: NW Indiana | FlySig, you nailed it! I hope the DW folks are listening. A site where one can see/hear the difference between the models and compare specs would be a great selling tool. And especially since there don't seem to be many dealers with a good selection, internet shopping and buying needs to be taken to the next level. |

As much larger companies, they should have top notch websites... although you should hear the Martin owners howl and complain about the current Martin website (over on a certain Martin-related forum...)!
Substance over style is preferable to us older types... not so sure if that applies to the youth market these days... |

Not much. Thing is, the ability and means to actually create the "style" you mentioned is available to everyone now, often for free, and everyone (especially youth) has given it a brief whirl to suit their own creative curiosity. I produced personal video for hundreds of clients all through the 80's and 90's, and my first digital setup cost was $13,000, but what it did was only about 1/100th of what anyone can purchase and download for $50 today and work with while sitting cross-legged on their bed. And even though they never pursue it deeply or professionally, they feel that the whirl they take with it qualifies them as savvy critics and they like to see it in action, just like a weekend golfer likes to critique the PGA on TV. I remember Carl Sagan predicting back in the early 90s that this exact thing was going to happen with online communications and personal computers in general, and the specific ways of how it was going to immensely change everyone's lives and careers. Looks like he was right. But heck, at least we got the OFC out of the deal, so I won't complain too much :-)

| The Ovation website is much better, than previously. I would like to see a link on the limited edition electric guitars, like the Glen Campbell Bluebird that was recently shown at the summer Namm Show here in Nashville. Also it would be cool to have a link that shows the Ovation history from when it started and to where it is now and where it plans on going in the future and what guitars Ovation plans on bringing out of the vault. I am looking forward to the winter 2018 Namm Show and see what Bill Xavier will have at the Ovation booth for me to drool over. I love my Glen Campbell Ovation guitar! |

They're selling them in the stores in japan according to a post by aramuko
If you search "adamas" on Amazon they show 1687's and 1587's available
So where's the love for the original Adamas line????
