After around 2004 most models were converted to LX necks until production got moved to Asia and AX models were designated. You can tell by the weight of the neck - Kaman bar pretty heavy, LX neck much lighter. |

If it doesn't have a truss rod cover on the headstock, it's a K-bar.
Although, if it has a truss rod cover, but due to weight you think it might have a k-bar, check to make sure the truss rod cover is not just decorative. It was a great way to put your name a signature on a guitar back in the day. |
