I can see the screws for the battery box. I'll remove the label and then the screws, but how do you remove the preamp? The tuner comes on but as soon as you strike a string it goes out. I want to remove the preamp to see if i can get it to stay on. Any help would be appreciated.

What preamp does this guitar have?
OP24? OP-24+? OP4BT? Thinline? DJ-4?

This is an OP4BT...

HERE are others.

I have no clue how to remove it.
I know that you would have to remove the slider knobs and volume knob.
BUT! I cannot find a photo of the face-plate and the preamp unit separated, although I have seem images of this. The face-plate is what holds the preamp in place. There are "pins" and "sockets" on the pieces. I am not sure that there are screws.
I am afraid that this may be a "snap-in" arrangement.
Maybe glued.
I know that this isn't helpful.

We need one of the BFLG folks to jump in.

Too easy, I was thinking too hard. Remove the sliders, pry off the cover and remove the six screws underneath the cover.. Too easy.

I'll post photos backwards so it looks like I'm removing it. It's weird I can tap on the guitar and the tuner stays on, but the minute I strike a string stops working. I even tried another pickup and no luck. I'll keep working on it. I'll take the preamp apart this weekend. I'll try to remember to take some photos and post them. I'm all ears for repair sugestions.
