I still have a $25 guitar pick he pulled out of his pocket at Amelia Island and handed me. When I said no way, these are too expensive, he said he had dozens as an endorsee and wanted his friends to have them. Great guy. Terrific on the banjo.

Here's a write up about Steve from Bluegrass Today: https://bluegrasstoday.com/steve-sutton-passes/ Beal, didn't you stick him with the nickname "Djbanjo" before he became known as Drac?? . I was fortunate to have him play acoustic guitar lead along with Paul Templeman on several of my songs and also with others...he will be sadly missed...RIP Steve...thanks for the music and laughs!

That's just not right... I don't know a bout you guys but I sure could use a Southern Style Jam right about now. This news really makes me miss y'all even more than usual.

I was sorry to hear about Steve. Amazing that the greatest banjo picker you've seen is also about the best guitar picker too.
