Although the price looks optimistic to me the history of the original flamed furies seems to be captured well!

Pretty cool guitar and story, very optimistic on price.
I wish there was a picture of the label and some info on what model it was based off.

I could be mistaken, but I believe this is just a 1778T with a custom paint job.

I couldn't find the post but some time ago Beal told the story of the original Tribal Flamed Ts that were done in full.
Sort of a proto to the Flames that Guitar Center and who else had made for them.

It/they are 1778Ts which is to say LXs with a Rock Maple neck and an attitude.

Woody is correct. The label on mine says 1778T Elite. I also recall Beal saying something about the painter living on a boat and it took forever because he would only accept one had a time to complete.

the guy that lived on a boat was the one who did the snake skins and dragon skins for Hamer and the thunderbolts.

Is it true, that less than 50 were made?

Looks just like the one you got from me Brad...guess I just gave it away, lol!

Even the serial numbers are pretty close 589297 and 596381

For that price I'd buy a T and have my own custom one-off paint job done.

Heck, MAACO can paint your whole darn car for a hundred bucks.

I think the bottom line for me is that the Looks, Sound and Price sort of have to match up for me to be happy with the total package. I mean come on, would you want to date a girl with a GREAT body but lousy personality and a terrible cook? Oh ... never mind.

I was lucky enough to get a Full Red Flame from a Dear Friend, then I found a Tribal and Actual Full Purple (Chameleon) Flame both in the UK.

The pictures of the Purple Flame are from the Ovation Gallery, because for the life of me, I can't photograph this guitar, but this way you can see the color changing, and different flame (single layer).

I still like the flag ones they did for the Custom Legends... I've always wanted one to play on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day Concerts, but just can't justify another purchase like that. Dang nice tribal guitar pics though... thanks for posting those.
