Location: moline,illinois | I'm having a problem with the optima preamp on my adamas 1885,the light for the tuner function stays on constantly causing batteries to be drained rapidly.The tuner and preamp function normally but the tuner never times out,I had a tech look at it thinking the tuner switch was sticking on but he said that's not the problem.
Has anyone ever had this problem and any ideas how I would go about repairing it.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I had one that would come on by itself. It would be off when I left it and then on the next time I came in the room. I never found the problem. |

My "Fix":
1. Renmove Battery
2. Replace Battery
3. Don't Use Tuner. |

I have been removing the battery when not playing it unfortunatly as soon as you install the battery the tuner light comes on so basically the tuner is constantly active eating batteries,
