Location: moline, illinois | Hey guys so I just got my 1991 Adamas 1688-2 red 12 string back from the mothership.
When I bought this guitar in december the listing said mint condition,it wasn't!!!
It had action over a 1/4 " high,a gap where the neck met the body, the stop-bar tailpiece where the strings go through was pulling up sand twisting with wood missing from the bridge,a funky buzzing in the top if you tried to play it which hurt your hand because the strings were so high and pealing laquer on the headstock.
The good news is it was a whole Adamas 1688-2 12 string.
After extends hassles with the seller I got some money for repairs and sent it off to john and the boys.
The Ovation warranty and repair center is the best!!!!
Let no one doubt it's worth it to have it done right by the guys who know how to do it best.
The guitar now has a new carved bridge, reset neck with excellent low action,no buzzing and the headstock has been resprayed so you have to look really close to tell its not new,I am one happy camper
