When the widow dies 20 years from now, their clueless kids will be so giddy about inheriting his 14 classic Camaros that they will simply throw Dad's stupid old plastic guitars into the incinerator out back just to watch the black smoke, and mount spoilers on the back of the Camaros. That's what me and my half-empty glass fears. Edited by Love O Fair 2017-03-08 9:48 AM

But, collectively, I would think you need not look any further than the OFC. Although the membership seems to have contracted over the years, I think the current members could cover the entire spectrum. Edited by jay 2017-03-08 12:53 PM

I have owned a lot over the years (around 240) but certainly NOT all at the same time. A typical scenario is that you buy a Balladeer, then resell it to step up to a Deluxe Balladeer, than sell it to move on to a Legend, etc etc. In the grand scheme they are not really all that different of a guitar. A nice little "collection" that I had which I thought was kinda cool was the Storm Series guitars. At one time I had all 8 original models in almost every color (never could find a green Thunderhead) and it totaled around 30 guitars. Also once had all 7 original shiny bowl models which I think is kind of unique. Even had a visit by the mystery 8th model, the Contemporary Folk Classic. But alas, I figured there was about 4 people in the world that would have the slightest interest in this stuff other than me.

They made 4 of them in '67 each with different color shiny bowl ... red, blue, green and black. Bill brought the green one over and we took some photos which I'll have to dig up. It was just the 4 of them, never went into production.

The only one yet to surface is the blue one, but I heard that it belonged to Bill's mother. Maybe it's in the barn.

Do you think that all the OFC members together can make it COMPLETE, all known (at least USA...)models still alive? Maybe we could first make a list an then FINALLY make a new Ovation-picturebook?
