I have a celebrity CC026 guitar. Which I think is one of the bottom end ovations that you can get. But I love the neck on it and it only cost me 50 bucks. I was wondering what type of strings and what gauge strings should I have on this thing in order to get the best acoustic unplugged sound out of it? Any input would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time.

Standard strings for most Ovations are .012-.053...
Usually D'Addario EJ16. Or more expensive EXP16.

But! This all depends on the condition of the guitar.
If the neck is still straight and set like New, that is what you would use.
If the "action" is getting higher, or the guitar is getting old and worn...
You might want to try Lighter strings.

If you have a Digital Micrometer around the house you could check the gauge of the strings that the guitar originally has on it.
Once you know that, you can go lighter or heavier or stay the same, depending on how the guitar plays.
And if it has colored balls on the string ends (brass, red, black, green, purple, silver) they are D'Addario brand.

I hope that this helps.
