So I ducked into a place for take out last weekend, and in the bar 2 guys with guitars were holding forth. Being an egotistical and insecure musician, natch, I hung by the bar, folded my arms and stared, thinking "I could do that". Ha! Just kidding. They were pretty dang good.

I've only done that kind of gig once or twice back in the day, myself. Makes the split easier, and no drums to help load, so there's that.

The link didn't work, but I'm glad I pasted it. I just finished watching Jim Croce: Behind the Music. I hadn't ever seen those episodes from VH1 of my music hero. Much better stuff on YouTube than what's on TV.

Yeah I tried to embed it but no worky...

On his vids from the show with the piano player in the blue suit on left, like Big Bad Leroy Brown, the piano player looks like Mickey Gilley.

I'm with Mark.. I pasted and watched.. and also watched the VH1 since it popped up on the margin list. I really didn't know much about Croce, but now I do! Awesome artist and person.. and it was like he never went anywhere without that burst Ovation (not sure the model #). Thanks, Jawjatek, for getting me tuned in.

That may have been the Legend that survived the plane crash with his set list taped to it. Last I knew, Ingrid had it displayed at Croce's restaurant in San Diego. I've been to San Diego a couple times, but not to Croce's.
