Last week I went to a new Meetup advertised as a Medieval Music Jam. Turns out it is a group of about 10 very professional musicians and a couple of very good amateurs who are into the whole Ren Fair thing. My 2080 is the only acoustic I currently have straplocks on, and my straps all have the locks installed. At the last minute (of course) as I grab stuff to head out the door I realize I may be standing not sitting, so I have to take the 2080. I had planned on taking the Patriot for its traditional styling.

Anyhow, I pull out the 2080 at the jam and everybody oohs, ahhs, and asks a bunch of questions about it. They were genuinely impressed with the technology and materials, as well as the cool styling. I was totally surprised by their interest in Adamas.

FlySig, that sounds like a wonderfully Fun Group!
I have always LOVED the musicians at the Renaissance Festivals!
If you join up with them, and get into period costumes, I am begging you for Pictures!!!

Yeah they are going to the big Estrella War in Arizona next month and were prodding me to go with them. They even offered to loan me period clothing. My son's Junior Recital is that week so I can't go. Sorry, no pics this year of me in medieval clothing!

First off hello, I am an original owner of a Patriot. I got my 2080 out yesterday after making a new guitar purchase. Looking to thin the heard a little. Well I realized what a special guitar it is, plugged it into my Acoustic amp used the 5th sampling and just played and played. I have been in a Electric Blues phase due to a hand issue. But the hand is straightening out and I am getting some of the stuck away guitars out. Needless to say the 2080 isnt going anywhere. Did they make them in two nut widths? Mine really seems wide.

regards,
Tom

Greetings, Patriot!

As far as I know all the 2080's were standard width nuts, not wide. But there may have been some custom ordered wide nuts, or perhaps the nut on yours has had the slots cut to be wider.

The 2080 is one of the best I've ever heard plugged in. The VIP really does a nice job! Other O/A sound great in their own way, but the 2080 is second to none for live performance.

This week I'll be taking either the 1537 or the Patriot to the Medieval jam.
