I have Recently been Researching the Acoustic/Electric Applause by Ovation. Model AE28. It has a Seven Digit Serial Number. Black Wood Top. Wood Neck. I Cannot Find Out What Year or Model this is. Serial Number is 1762729. The Top is Coming Separated from the Bottom Bowl. Hoping to Fix it. Does Anyone Know About this Guitar. I Just got it for $90 Including a Hard Case. I Had An Applause back in the 80's Loved it! Also have just Acquired a GTX23 Applause (Model Number 536718) Crackled Black, for Free from a Friend. Can Anyone Help me with the Dates of these Fine Ol' Guitars. I have Been Playing Acoustic Guitar for over 40 Years. Time to Learn to Be a Luthier. Strum On! Thanks

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR		Look on the bright side... The Case is worth the $90.
As to the Serial Numbers...
Most of the older Asian serial numbers are pretty random and untraceable.
