Hey All,

I recently bought an Applause bass at a thrift store. It was in great shape and was only $100 so I figured what the heck. Anyway, the D string tuning machine and maybe the A as well are broken. Anyone know who made the originals? I would like to replace the 2 and have them match as best as possible. Thoughts?

Thanks
Matt

are they closed or open back?
I probably have a set of both but they are schaller and way overkill for that bass

Name only. The Grovers match almost exactly. I say almost because the "gear box" one the new ones is slightly beefier and the build quality is much better. My guess is that Ovation commissioned Grover or someone to build some low-end machine.
