I have a Ultra 1582D and a Pinnacle 385T 12-string (found at a yard sale for $100, owner was asking $50 for both), and would like an opinion on the best strings to use. I'm trying out a set of EJ17-3D and EXP38. I mostly play Hawaiian slack key with the Ultra, and rhythm with the 12 (with occasional slack key). I have two Martins, circa mid 1950, and a Takamine my parents left me, but I like the sound of the Ovations, and am looking to use it more then the others. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
Mahalo!!
