| I found this post in a gretsch forum and loved the posted pictures of the breadwinner modification (they've since been deleted). When I finally took the time to read the post, I was intrigued by the mention that this was a mod of an "inexpensive Korean made" re-issue. Try as I might, I could find no details about the breadwinner ever being re-issued, until I recently found that this very guitar was now being sold on eBay with a brief description about its origin.

Has anyone ever heard of this ever being produced? |

Location: Upper Left USA | So of the two prototypes that were commissioned to consider a reissue this one looks like the more imaginative one.
AJ has the other one that featured two Mini-buckers (likely Artec) and the top mounted bridge.
Good find! |

| If I hadn't recently acquired a '75 1251-5, I would have definitely jumped on this. I would rather have an inexpensive Ovation than an Eastwood replica just for the headstock alone, especially since my reason for wanting one was mere aesthetics. Does that make me shallow? |
