It just occurred to me that my musical career seems to be fully engaged in a downward spiral:

I’ve gone from
1) the lofty heights of South Dakota Saloon Band (Medicine Springs Band) guitarist,
2) to Church Special music,
3) to Assisted Living Facilities musical programs,
4) to Alzheimer Units musical programs,
5) to Donut Shop Jam banjoist
6) and this weekend a Cemetery graveside funeral Gig for three "Special musics" and "mood" music...yikes!

Is there a message here that I'm supposed to understand?

Oh! How the mighty have fallen!

alludes to the current condition of our country. keep playing music though, just like the quartet on the titanic as it is going down. it helped soften the blow...

Are you playing the banjo at the graveside mood-music gig?

....I'd pay good money to see that! :D

In the Medicine Springs Saloon in Hot Springs... local "house" band.... played when the owner didn't have the $$ to hire a real band. During our break between sets, we tended bar.... yup, lofty heights.

Tim,
I sang at a lady's 93rd birthday party today.

I used my Country Artist. Last spring I did a graveside service, used my Martin then. :D

It always goes up & down.
Johnny Cash was considered dead in water.
Dropped from Columbia.
But he ended with millions of fans who were
teenagers who he was old enough to be thier great grandfather. I was was workin when The Gary Rossington Band played to handfull of people at West Hartford Agora. I believe there was 24 paid tickets in a building that held 5000.
I'm in a slump right now myself.
