But now they're asking for appraisals for those I listed at over $1k, which is all of them at this point! Has anyone had their O or A appraised for insurance?

You give them a list and what you think they are worth. They give you a premium to pay and then you are covered for the listed amount. I have had my policy with them for about 5 years. I also believe Beal, Cliff, and others here use them.

I may have to up date the policy now I have the 1993 Collectors, though? Mike S. Ottawa, ON. CANADA

I also believe Beal, Cliff, and others here use them. My agent had it all set up for $60 to cover up to $15k of equipment against all types of losses including partial loss due to damage. I guess the underwriter doesn't believe an O or A can be worth over $1k because they came back asking for appraisals. Aside from that snafu the insurance looks to be the same as Heritage.

I don't suppose that showing them a Price List or an eBay or Reverb listing would help?

Heritage will cover it if you sale it while in transit, if you loan it to a friend for 6 months and he returns it with a cracked top, if FB has pics of you playing open mic with a tip jar in the pic, etc.
but the biggest difference is like I mentioned before about how they value. With State Farm is it replacement value or depreciated? State Farm will also try to find a replacement if possible or give you cash based on what they found as a suitable replacement. Heritage lets you tell them the value. I have #57 insured for $15k with no questions asked. Edited by stephent28 2016-10-01 3:22 PM

Purchased originally by Linda McCartney for Wings. I have owned it for probably close to 10 years now. I should really have Jérôme change his page info.
