Hi there,

I don't own this but was wondering if I should look at it....

Realize hard to tell from the one pic but can you guesstimate as to whether this is a big (don't buy it) repair or a repair that's $$ manageable?

Thanks for the input!

If the top did not work loose at that point it is not a big thing to repair this.

Is that a left handed guitar or is the photo just inverted?

The seller didn't list it as a left-hand guitar.....I just copied their kijiji photo to here.

Hmm, interesting. My first thought was not to worry about fixing the binding because it was on the treble side of the body and you would not see it when you were playing anyway. But then I noticed that (unless the photo is inverted) this is a left handed guitar so the effected area would be staring you right in the face.

That is a Right Handed guitar.
It might be strung left-handed, but look at the angle of the saddle.
Then look at your other right-handed guitars.

HERE is the guitar... $300 Candian

Looks to me like a model 1111-4 standard Balladeer.. pre-80's. Of course, I once thought my Chevy Corvette was a John Deer tractor, so anything is possible (but at least it got the stump pulled out of the ground).

A right-handed O strung as left-handed -- the intonation must be terrible this way for the lefty. But, anyway, jeez, I've got a real weakness for noncutaway vintage O's with truss rod cover and natural finish!

Might be worth 200ish max in my books since the binding needs to be redone at the very least (the purfling appears to be undamaged), but I'd also double-check the neck and the tuners apart from the usual suspects.

intonation is probably OK if you only play yesterday.
