I'm looking for a Josh White Reissue...possibly a deep-bowl Folklore or similar.

12-fret, deep bowl is a must. 1 7/8" nut is a plus, might be talked into 1 3/4" nut. Shiny bowl is a plus, handlaid is a plus.

Let me know what you have, plus price. Thanks!

Also, for you consideration, I have some guitars I'd be willing to trade.

1) A 2010 Taylor DN3 dreadnought, custom ordered with a 1 7/8 nut. K&K pickup. Excellent condition. Trade value: $800. Pics.

2) A Takamine TF740FS 12-fret cedar top OM. 1 7/8 nut, 12-fret. Cool Tube preamp, excellent condition, Takamine refurbished (bridge and neck reset). Sounds great, plays great. Trade value: $1100. Pics.

3) A 2016 Takamine EF740FS TT Thermal Top (torrified spruce) cutaway OM. 1 7/8 nut, 12-fret. Has Tak's stealthy TLD2 internal preamp. Mint. Trade value: $1800. Pics.

4) A 1970-72 Ovation 1123-4 Classical. Medium bowl, 1 7/8 nut, flat fingerboard, 12-fret. Good to very good condition. A few blemishes, one repaired crack, mostly very nice for its age. Trade value: $300. Pics.

5) A 2015 Emerald X20 12-String Guitar-Oud Hybrid. All carbon fiber. One of a kind, can be strung with nylon or steel (tie or pinless bridge). Can be strung unison (two sets of standard strings) or octave (12-string strings), or could be setup as a fretted oud. An experimental mind required. 24" scale. 2" nut and wide oud-like 3" spacing at the bridge. K&K pickup. Excellent condition. Trade value: $1800 Pics.

Would also go for a 12-fret Adamas, u681t-5 or similar.

Close! They're gorgeous, but way too ornate for my tastes. Maybe if I had the talent to match that kind of flash...

Anyway, if it comes to spending that much, I'll wait for the non-anniversary models or a custom order.

They're Thomastik John Pearse Folk trebles...they have the tension of nylon strings, so they're safe. They're nylon coated metal rope core. They have a nice tone that's in between nylon and steel.

Nice, didn't know those existed!

Update: only the two Takamines remain (all sold elsewhere, but I did donate to the OFC).

Still looking for a Josh White Reissue. Or a wide nut Adamas (ideally a UTE or other 12-fret...suspension ring preferred). Would consider cash and/or trade offers.

They're expensive, but a cool experience...truly a new kind of string. If you like the sound of classical bass strings, but want less plunk and more sustain from the trebles, they're the ticket. They're also great for steel players that have hand issues and need a low tension string.
