I have an ovation Celebrity CC057. It is a shallow body and comes with a OP20 pick up. I am having two problems with it:

1. I have used it at home to record tracks and have never had a problem. A few times when I played live with it, it suddenly does not send a signal. It sorts of just stops amplifying. I replaced the battery and changed my guitar cord, but still have the same effect.
2. When the tuner is on, I press tuner again to turn it off, but it won’t. I have to wait each time until it times out before I can play. Which is annoying and difficult when you’re playing live.

Does anyone have any advice as to what the problem may be and how to fix it? If I wanted to check the wiring inside of the guitar, how would I do that? How would I be able to get at it?

Thank-you

I hope I have posted this properly. I clicked on the Alert button the first time, and my post dissapeared. I'm sure that was a mistake on my part.

To turn the tuner OFF you must hold the button in for a while until the light stops flashing.
Or just wait.

As to the signal cutting-out... Look in the sound-hole at the back of the preamp...
Be sure that the cables at the back of the unit are snugly inserted.
If that ain't it... I don't know what is happening.

I do not know how to check the wiring inside the actual unit.
It is glued together so you would have to be very aggressive to get in there.

Hopefully a smarter person will come along with those answers.
